How do I know if rehab is right for my dog?

If you answer YES to one or more of these questions your pup may be a perfect candidate for canine rehab.

  1. Is your dog limping or showing lameness  on one more more of his/her limbs?
  2. Is your dog having a difficult time getting up from a lying position?
  3. Is your dog having difficulty ambulating up and down stairs?
  4. Is your dog having difficulty getting in and out of your vehicle?
  5. Is your dog having difficulty with or is unable to jump onto the bed and/or sofa?
  6. Has your dog recently been experiencing slipping on hard flooring?
  7. Have you been noticing your dog stumbling intermittently during walking?
  8. Has your dog been showing decreased willingness to sit?
  9. Has your dog been showing decreased willingness to go for walks or unable to walk the same distance they used to?
  10. Has your dog been showing decreased interest in playing?
  11. Has your dog had recent onset or progressive decline in his/her ability to use their hind limbs?
  12. Has you dog been demonstrating a "skipping" while they are walking?
  13. Is your dog overweight?
  14. Did your dog recently undergo surgery or is planning on having surgery in the near future?
  15. Is your dog on pain medication or anti-inflammatory medication?
  16. Does your dog have an injury that ideally would require surgery but a) your dog is not medically stable enough to have surgery or b) you are unable to pay for said surgery?
  17. Have you been told that your dog may never walk again secondary to an injury or post operative status?
